Visa Information

What is VISA?
  • Visa is a document that is an entry permit and also recommends a traveler to a government officer to allow the traveler to enter the country.
※ It generally means a stamp on a passport to indicate the conditions of entry permission and signed by the consul. It is not possible to enter China without obtaining a visa before travel.
  • 01. Documents required for applying a visa

  • 03. Shipboard visa information
    • It is a system to help South Korean passengers who have not issued a Chinese visa in advance get a visa before entering China by applying for a letter of invitation for issuance of arrival visa.
      • Required Documents: Passport, 1 photo, and visa issuance fee (Please contact the ship operator as each ship operator can be different.)
      • Shipboard visa is not available for some destinations. Please contact the ship operator to check it.
  • 04. Shipboard visa application procedure
    • 1) Apply at the check-in counter in the passenger terminal within 2 hours on the day of departure (The application time restriction is different for each destination, so please inquire with the relevant ship operator)
    • 2) After boarding, receive the letter of invitation and fill out the application form for visa issuance on board (attach 1 photo)
    • 3) After disembarkation, present it at a dedicated window in the Chinese terminal and obtain a visa (passport, a letter of invitation, visa issuance application, and visa issuance fee).
      • Shipboard visa is a single visa allowing up to 30-days stay (The duration of stay may vary by destination.)
      • Only for South Koreans (South Korean passport holders)
      • If you have an individual letter of invitation, please check in advance whether it is possible to receive an arrival visa with the letter of invitation.
      • Agencies that can issue a letter of invitation valid for issuing an arrival visa: Department of Foreign Affairs, People’s Government, Weihai City & the Foreign Economic and Trade Committee of Shandong Province
